Mr. David Wayne Pickle, age 75 of Mount Vernon, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on April 25, 1945 in Alamo to the late Herman John and Ella-Dean Towery Pickle. He had worked as a logger for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bernard Fountain.
Those left to cherish his memory include four sons, Dale Pickle (Kendra), Robin Pickle (Jenny), Michael Pickle, and Phillip Pickle (Jessica); a daughter, India Clark (Can); a sister, Peggy Fountain; sixteen grandchildren, Peyton, Denton, Kelton, Weston, Keaton, Christopher (Chloe), Samantha, Landon, Brianna, Lilly, Ella-Grace, and Sophee Pickle, Kayleigh, Lane, Brileigh, and Colt McCoy; and two great-grandchildren, Caroline and Bentley Pickle; he is also survived by former wife and caretaker, Kathie Pickle; and former wife, Ann Burns Pickle.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia.
Graveside service and interment will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with B. L. Horne to officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
