Obituary for: Sara Velma Rountree Phillips
Sara Velma Rountree Phillips passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Archbold Medical Center, Thomasville, GA.
Mrs. Phillips was born on November 21 1945 in Montgomery County and was a graduate of Lyons High school; she was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed embroidery and has made many gifts for people over the years. She loved spending time with her family. Velma is preceded in death by her husband J. Ervin Phillips, one son David Ronald Sheppard, parents Cecil and Lexi Taylor Rountree, three sisters Ester Rountree, Mary Ricketson, Melba Howard and one brother Herbert Rountree.
She is survived by one son Mark Phillips & wife Amy, one granddaughter Hagan, one grandson Mark Jr & wife Morgan, one great granddaughter Blakeleigh, two sisters, Edna Brown and Leila Smith, one brother Wendell Rountree as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1st 12:30 - 1:30 at Roberts - Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia. Graveside service will follow at 2:00p.m. at North Thompson Cemetery with Gary Roberson to officiate.
